SCHEDULE RELEASED: The 28th Annual Glenlawn Alumni Basketball Tournament will run this year on May 2-4, 2019 at Glenlawn Collegiate in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Two men's divisions will continue as is Casual (2 games) and Competitive (3 games) played across Thursday evening, Friday evening and Saturday day. The competitive division will wrap up with a Championship Final. This year, a women's division has been added.

The male divisions can register as a team (min. 8 required per team) or a single entry - we will try our best to place you within your closest age group. Females will register as a single entry - teams will be selected based on final registration numbers.

All registrations will be done online, and the tournament will feature Men’s and Women’s Casual and a Men’s Competitive division.  The fee system will be based on division and charges range based on division selection. The tournament is sanctioned by Basketball Manitoba - including insurance and referees.  Each participating player will receive a t-shirt for play - coordinated colours and numbers to your team.

Registration closes on April 14th so, please register and recruit your players ASAP.

The schedule is as follows; please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your first game to check-in.

THURSDAY, MAY 2
6:00pm: Varsity Girls vs. Women’s
7:00pm: Varsity Boys vs. Harrison
8:00pm: Ayotte vs. Nechwediuk

​FRIDAY, MAY 3
5:45pm: Harrison vs. Nechwediuk
6:45pm: Women’s vs. Women’s
7:45pm: Harrison vs. Ayotte

GAME PLAY - RULES + REGS
Games will start as close to the scheduled start time as possible. This may affect warm-up and halftime lengths.
Warm-ups are scheduled for 5 minutes in length. Halftimes are scheduled for 3 minutes in length.
Will follow all FIBA Rules inclusive of rules for fouls (personal + team)

Game Time
Games will consist of 4, 10 minute quarters (running time)
The last 2 minutes of the game will be stopped time
30 second shot clock, 10 seconds backcourt count
No overtime will be permitted (game will end in a tie)

Timeouts
Each team will receive 1 timeout per quarter
Timeouts can be called whenever by anyone on the floor or bench
Timeouts will stop the clock

Substitutions​
Substitutions can occur on a dead ball or on the fly
Player must exit off court (at the bench) before a sub can be on the floor


Please Note: 2 technical fouls by any player for disciplinary reasons over the duration of the tournament will result in individual disqualification. This player will not be allowed to play in any other games and will not be refunded any money.
