Canada Basketball has announced that their Men's High Performance Program will conduct a Western Canada Open ID Session and Assessment Camp for athletes born in 2000, 2001, and 2002 on the weekend of November 10-12, 2017. This Camp will take place in preparation for next summer’s U18 FIBA America’s Championship and U17 FIBA World Cup.


Open ID Sessions
The Open ID Sessions will take place at Ross Sheppard High School in Edmonton, AB on the evening of Friday, November 10 and the morning of Saturday, November 11. The Open ID sessions are open to Canadian male athletes born in the above listed years with a valid Canadian passport. Athletes attending the Open ID sessions will be assessed by national team coaches for potential inclusion in the Western Canada Assessment Camp, for the U17 and U18 National Teams, which will immediately follow the Open ID Sessions on Saturday and Sunday, November 11th and 12th.

Western Canada Assessment Camp
On the weekend of November 11-12, there will be a Western Canada Assessment Camp at Ross Sheppard High School in Edmonton, AB. Athletes selected from the Western Canada Assessment Camp will be invited to the Canada Basketball National Team Invitational Tryouts on Easter Weekend, in 2018 (March 30 – April 2).
