The Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission and the National Sports Center have announced details on their upcoming summer basketball tournament options in Minneapolis, MN.

NSC Hoops will focus on bringing unique basketball event experiences to youth and adults in different parts of Twin Cities and throughout Minnesota in 2017.   One of the goals is to create two of the best international youth basketball tournaments and are inviting teams from Manitoba to consider joining.

They have two signature events this summer - NSC Basketball Cup which takes place July 28th - 30th and NSC 3x3 Basketball Cup which takes place August 4th - 6th.  Both events are open to international teams and will also feature many teams from across the US.

Event Highlights Include:
  • Outstanding facilities with adequate parking
  • Qualified referees and a professional event staff
  • Activities outside of play such as skills competitions, food and other Minnesota attractions
  • Individual and Team Awards
  • Shot clocks, live music, player stats and more!
  • Team Application & Registration - For more information or to get started with your team application, visit our website at www.nscsports.org.  Select “Sports” then go to “Basketball.”

You can always reach out me at GEllis@NSCSports.org or our Tournament Registrar, Gabby Lister at GLister@NSCSports.org with questions.  The NSC Travel Team can help your program or team to coordinate your stay while in Minnesota.  This is a free service and a great benefit to all of our teams.  Contact at travel@NSCSports.org to coordinate your stay.

Basketball Manitoba Note: The above dates this summer are similar to the Canada Basketball National Championships (Regina) and 2017 Canada Games (Winnipeg) for players at the 15U and 17U age level respectively.  Players who are members of the Manitoba Provincial Teams are expected to commit to the Provincial Teams and Canadian Championships as their priority this summer.
