WGS co-founder Frendell Cano with Basketball Manitoba's Diana Mogatas

Huge thanks to the Winnipeg's Got Sole sneaker group who this past Saturday, as part of their 4th annual Sneaker Swap Expo, collected over 125 pairs of basketball shoes and runners, which have been donated to the Basketball Manitoba Equipment Recycling program.

The expo was held in conjunction with the final day of the Canada Basketball National Championships at the University of Winnipeg.  Winnipeg's Got Sole also added some halftime entertainment on Saturday afternoon, and provided national anthem to singers during to the Medal games including the Studio 393 Dance Troupe, Naomi Concepcion, Denise Samaniego (Ms Teenage Manitoba 2016), Joshua Bernardo and John Concepcion

Basketball Manitoba would like to thank the group founders Frendell Cano, Jerry Legaspi and Johann Generao (pictured with Basketball Manitoba's Adam Wedlake) for their continued support of basketball and their fostering of the off court culture surrounding our sport!
