Playing on a WMBA or MBL team this fall? Take advantage of this opportunity and come prepare for the season with AthELITEs and Beyond in the 4 Week Skill Development Mini-Camp!

AthELITEs and Beyond Camps aim to allow young athletes to benefit from the instruction of skilled university and provincial basketball team players. They will be taught the fundamentals of basketball and play games suited to their age and skill level. Whether your AthELITE is a beginner or advanced player, AthELITEs and Beyond will challenge them to improve their basketball skills in a FUN and ENERGETIC learning environment!

Session #1 – Norberry-Glenlee Community Centre (26 Molgat Ave, Winnipeg, MB ) – $115.00:

Meet the Coaches



Taneesha Greaves
Program Director and Head Coach
Hometown: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Greaves is a former NCAA Division I athlete and current employee of NBA Canada. In addition, she is a student in the U of Manitoba’s Faculty of Science, and coach in Manitoba’s Centre for Performance program, as well as the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association

While in high school, Taneesha had the opportunity to play for Winnipeg’s finest, Coach Bryan Kornberger of Glenlawn Collegiate, before serving as an alternate player on the Canadian Cadette Women’s National team, and playing at the renowned basketball powerhouse, Oak Hill Academy, in Virginia, USA as a nationally ranked point guard.




Malik Irwin
Assistant Head Coach
Hometown: Toronto, Ontario

Malik Irwin of the University of Manitoba Men’s Basketball team (CIS), is currently a third year Finance Major and elite performance coach. Along with coaching the AthELITEs and Beyond’s Camps, last summer Malik co-directed his own camp for youth boys, as well as instructed in many Junior Bison Boys Camps.

Prior to becoming a CIS athlete and high performance coach, Malik had an exceptional career of four years under the well-respected Coach Jeff Laping, at local powerhouse St Paul’s High School. As a decorated athlete, Malik earned the entitlement of being aprovincial all-star and received All-Manitoban team honours. Irwin was also placed on Winnipeg’s Top 10 Player list and again honours as an all-star upon graduation.
