Basketball Manitoba and the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association would like to thank Naoya Takahashi (pictued above centre with the Basketball Manitoba staff) who is just ending his internship in the basketball office. Naoya is from Japan and has been supporting the office since September 2014. He came to Canada to develop his English language and learn more on the sport administration front. He worked closely with past events including the Super Coaches Clinic, Hoop It Up 3on3, NBA Exhibition Game, NBA All-Star Skills Tour, Hall of Fame Induction Dinner, the Minor Officials Video Series and WMBA league operations. He also volunteered at the FIBA Americas Women's Olympic Qualifier in Edmonton this past summer.
He returns to Japan to pursue his plans to get involved with the basketball operations for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
