Maples Recreation Centre One Step Closer to Seeing 8 Court Gymnasium a Reality
Adam Tocci, president of the Maples Recreation Association, holds a rendering of a $21-million expansion to the Maples Community Centre. The Manitoba government, today, committed to fund one third of the project, up to $7 million. On Saturday, provincial ministers and local MLAs Melanie Wight and Mohinder Saran pledged provincial support of up to $7 million for the construction of the community centre that will serve The Maples and include hardwood basketball and volleyball courts as well as facilities for seniors.
