Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce that Raizel Guinto has been named a recent recipient of the Sport Manitoba 'Women to Watch' athlete grant!  Raizel is a member of the Manitoba Provincial Team who led Manitoba to its first Gold Medal in 25 years at the National Championships last summer.  She is currently a grade 11 student at Sisler High School.  

Past basketball recipients of this award include Jordan Tully, Robyn Boulanger, Kerilynn MacLennan, Atoosa Jalayeri, Jasmine & Sara Ibrahim, Kerri Kuzbyt, Emily Potter, Brittany Wiebe, Danielle Baril, Adele Baril, Morgan Cross, Danielle DeGagne and Krystal Schouten. 


ImageWorking in partnership with Provincial Sport Organizations and Coaching Manitoba, Sport Manitoba provides a monthly grant of $500 to a female athlete, team, official or volunteer to assist them in enhancing their women in sport career.  A $500 monthly grant is awarded to a female coach to assist them in further developing the skills necessary to attain a higher level of coaching or increased level of coaching experience.
