BRANDON, MB – The Brandon University men's basketball team has announced the addition of Quinton Hunter to the roster for the 2014-15 season.

Hunter, a 5-foot-11 Neelin High School product, participated in basketball, volleyball, and football throughout his high school career.

As a result of his success in both football and basketball, Hunter entertained offers for both sports before ultimately deciding to join the Bobcats roster. He follows fellow Neelin alumni like Chad Jacobson, Adam Philpot and Theo Farough to hit the court for BU in recent memory.
"I've known Gil for a long time and I like what he's doing in Brandon and the way he coaches," said Hunter. "Gil prioritizes hard work and that's something that I like to do. Gil also works hard with his athletes and pushes them to excel. Playing in front of a home town crowd in front of my friends and family would be amazing."
Head coach Gil Cheung sees a lot of potential in Hunter.
"I'm looking forward to having Quinton join our program next season. He's an athletic kid and I am excited to be able to work with him to develop his strength and athleticism to be able to contribute at the CIS level.
While at BU, Hunter plans to study psychology and sociology.  He is expected to red shirt for the Bobcats this fall.
