The University of Winnipeg Wesmen and the Canada West Universites Athletic Association has announced that women's basketball player Stephanie Kleysen has been selected as a second team Canada West Women's Basketball All-Star.

Kleysen, a fourth year guard from Vincent Massey Collegiate in Winnipeg recently completed her fourth and best season in a Wesmen uniform. She finished in the top 10 in several Canada West Women's Basketball statistical categories including 7th in scoring (16.9 ppg), 7th in rebounding (7.7 rpg), 5th in steals (61), 5th in block shots and 8th in three-point fg percentage. Kleysen started all 22 regular season games and averaged 34 minutes of court time per game. She scored a season high 32 points against Lethbridge (November 17, 2013) and grabbed a season high 18 rebounds against Regina (January 17, 2014). Kleysen recorded six double-doubles during the 2013-2014 season.
"We are very proud Stephanie has been recognized and is well deserving of being named a Canada West All-Star. She works incredibly hard and has been a tremendous leader both on and off the court for our program", said Wesmen Women's Basketball head coach Tanya McKay.
