The WMBA has announced its year-end winners of it Coach of the Year and Foundation Scholarship Awards on June 25 as part of its Annual General Meeting. Being recognized as the Bruce Russell Memorial Coach of the Year award was Ray Green from Roblin Park Community Centre. Scholarship awards were presented to Alex Wolowiec and Alyssa Bauer from its Foundation. It has also been announced that Oxford Heights in Transcona will be the location for the next WMBA Foundation outdoor court project build, becoming the 5th court built to join Garden City, Dakota, Whyte Ridge and Kirkfield Westwood. The new court should be ready by the fall. 
Ray Green 2012-2013 WMBA Coach of the Year
The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association is pleased to announce that Ray Green has been named the 2012-2013 recipient of the WMBA Bruce Russell Coach of the Year Award.
Ray has been coaching in the WMBA for 5 years years and this spring he coached 12 year old boys out of Roblin Park.
WMBA Foundation Announces Scholarships Winners
The WMBA Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the WMBA Foundation Scholarships for 2013. The recipients that were selected each receive a scholarship award of $500 to assist them in their post secondary studies. The two recipients are Alyssa Bauer and Alex Wolowiec.
