Randy Kusano
Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce that Randy Kusano and Sukhvir Singh have been hired in the role of 'Manager' for the 2013 Canada Games Provincial basketball teams.  The Manitoba Provincial Team Tryouts will occur on April 6-8 at the University of Winnipeg.  To read the full biographies on Randy and Suk including the other coaching staff...








 


Suk is in his first year with the Manitoba Provincial Team program. He began working as an assistant coach with the Red River College Men’s basketball program in 2006 and after two seasons he took over as the head coach of the Rebels program in 2008. He has been running So Smooth Basketball summer basketball camps since 2008 and in 2009 Suk was voted the MBCA Open Category Coach of the Year.  Randy’s coaching career began with the University of Manitoba Junior Bisons in 1974 and continued there until 1976. He has coached high school basketball for the past thirty-four years, thirty two as head coach of the Varsity Boys program at Oak Park High School.  Over his 34 years at Oak Park, Randy developed the dominate high school program of it’s era, going to 15 Final Fours and winning 3 AAAA Provincial Championships. During this time he has helped to develop more than twenty five players who have gone on to play at the Canadian College or CIS level. Randy has also served as an assistant coach at the University of Manitoba for fifteen years.
