Sample ImageFormer Manitoba Provincial Team Coach and current Manitoba Bison Men's Basketball Team Coach Kirby Schepp of Winnipeg has been selected to lead a group of Canadian all-stars into next months Nike Global Challenge in Hillsboro.Oregon.  The August 5-7 event showcases the top high school basketball talent from around the world in the series.  The event is attended by the who's who of the basketball world including all the top NCAA and NBA scouts.  The Nike Global Challenge takes center court at Liberty High School, August 5-7, 2011. Nike Global Challenge



For players from the United States, the Nike Global Challenge is the final tournament in Nike's series of Skills Academies. In June, these players will be invited to participate in positional skills camps around the country hosted by several NBA superstars including Deron Williams (PG), Kevin Durant (Wings) and Amare Stoudamire (Big Men). They then traveled to Akron, Ohio, to participate in the LeBron James US Skills Academy. The top 30 players selected from this camp will seed two USA teams to represent the United States in the Nike Global Challenge.
