<empty>The Winnipeg Storm Basketball Club would like to extend an invitation to any boys who are of Chinese descent (at least 25% minimum Chinese orgin) and are between the ages of 14 to 17 and going into Grades 9 to Grade 12 in this September 2011 School Year to come try-out for the the Junior 18 and under Boys and have a chance to represent the City of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Chinese community at this prestigious tournament.  Try-outs for the team will be held end of August / Early September 2011. The 32nd Annual North American Chinese Basketball Association Invitational Tournament (NACBAIT) will be held for the first time in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on May 26 to May 29, 2012.  Games will be played inside the Richmond Olympic Oval.  The Winnipeg Storm Basketball Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to serve the Winnipeg Chinese community by participating in physical activity, health and sport through the use of the game of basketball as a base to teach participants in the following individual player skills training, team skills training, strength and conditioning and mental preparation.


 


Throughout the year in preparation for NACBAIT, all teams under the Winnipeg Storm umbrella participate in various leagues and tournaments.  The Winnipeg Storm Basketball Club has teams in these divisions: Men's Open (age 18 to 34), Men's Senior (35 and over) and newly introduced Junior Boys (age 18 and Under as of May 26, 2012).  


 


There are no fees to try-out for the team.  Any players interested in participating in the try-outs please contact
