Basketball Manitoba is a not-for-profit organization responsible for the development and promotion of the game of basketball throughout the province of Manitoba. Basketball Manitoba is focused on the development of amateur athletes, coaches and officials.
The Position: We are seeking a full-time person to fill the position of Program Coordinator. The position will assist in the planning, development and management of all aspects of the coach and referee certification & education programs, elite programming, provincial championships, special events, youth programming, financial management and office management. The position is also responsible for working with the member leagues and associations and will report to the Executive Director of Basketball Manitoba.
The Candidate: The successful candidate will possess an understanding of Basketball Manitoba programs, familiarity with the sport of basketball and an understanding of the provincial sport delivery system. This position requires a high-energy person who is capable of multi-tasking and has good organizational, financial and planning skills. Possession of excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to manage the day-to-day activities of the organization is essential. Required computer skills include knowledge of Microsoft Office, email management, social media and other web based applications.
Qualifications: Either a related University or College degree, experience in sport administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
