Date and Time: Sunday, April 17th, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.

Location: Duckworth Centre, University of Winnipeg

Abdul is the young man whose life was taken away just a few shorts week ago in a stabbing incident. Three of his sisters, Hana, Sabrinia and Esra are members of the program. Abdul was active in supporting the program and the team wanted to show their support for his family and create a post-secondary scholarship in his memory.

Abdul immigrated to Winnipeg with his family four years ago, and was only beginning to emerge from his challenges. He had started down a path of success, having returned to school and taken on a full time job in a restaurant. The organization is saddened by this tragic loss of life and more determined to continue its work in the inner city core to provide healthy and safe opportunities for youth.

Donations will be accepted in support of the scholarship at the memorial game or by contacting Program Director Bob Axworthy.
