Recreation Connections Manitoba is wading into the upcoming Municipal
Elections and needs your support! The upcoming Municipal Elections
(October 27th) provide an opportunity for us to work together and ensure
key issues impacting the recreation and parks sector (including indoor and outdoor basketball courts) are addressed with
community leaders and election candidates. You are both a citizen and
recreation and/or parks professional or volunteer and participating in
the municipal election process is an opportunity to let candidates know
that RECREATION AND PARKS MATTER!
To assist you with your efforts to put Recreation and Parks on the election agenda, Recreation Connections Manitoba has prepared some communication resources. The “Making Recreation and Parks An Election Issue” and “Municipal Election Recreation and Parks Fact Sheet” are documents we created (with the support of ARPA) and will provide you with valuable information about how you and other can get engaged, raise awareness of the importance of recreation and parks with candidates and convey your concerns and your willingness to work them to address issues.
