The Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association has shared news that it has a proposal on the table to move the shot clock back to 30 seconds (from 24) and the 8 second back court time back to 10 seconds effective the 2010-11 high school basketball season at all levels of play (JV / Varsity, A to AAAA). This item will be discussed and voted on at the MHSAA Annual General Meeting on June 20-22, 2010. Another motion proposes to change the Junior Varsity Provincial format away from the 'Urban / Rural' definitions to a 'A - AA' and 'AAA - AAAA' classification.
