Team TobaBasketball Manitoba today announced the rosters for the 2010 Manitoba Provincial Teams. These six teams – 14U Boys, 14U Girls, 15U Boys, 15U Girls, 17U Boys and 17U Girls, will go on to train and represent the province this summer at national events.  All girls teams will represent Manitoba at the Nike Summer Showcase in Chicago (July 9-13) and the boys will be at the Best Buy Summer Classic in Minneapolis July 13-15.  The 15U and 17U Girls teams will focus their summer on the National Championships in Toronto, ON.  The 15U and 17U Boys teams will stay home this August and will play host to the National Championships at the University of Manitoba.  Both National Championships are set for August 2-7, 2010.  Manitoba and Ontario will also host the 2011 Nationals with the girls staying home and the boys to Toronto. The 14U players are being developed to build a solid base of athletes in 2011 for the 15U Nationals Team and the 16U Western Canada Summer Games Teams.  A recent change to the targeted age for the WCSG will target athletes at the 16U level (vs 15U) to allow more athletes the opportunity to experience a 'Games' event and to bridge the game players often experience between the 15 and 17 age categories. The provincial team rosters are...
