The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association (WMBA) is excited to announce
that Stephanie Somerville has been named its new Program Coordinator
effective March 15th, 2010.









Stephanie brings a number of years of experience with the game of basketball as a player at the provincial level in Ontario.  In university, Stephanie was a member of the University of Ottawa Gee-Gee's womens soccer team.  She has also joined the coaching ranks with the JRB basketball program.  She offers a wealth of connections in both the basketball community and school system.



Stephanie commented, “I am looking forward to starting the position as Program Coordinator of the WMBA.  Basketball has always been a strong passion of mine and I am thrilled to be able to start a new career with the grassroots level of basketball in Manitoba.  I am enthusiastic to meet the volunteers who are the backbone of the league.”



WMBA President Ted Fardoe commented.  "We are excited to have Stephanie Somerville join the league as the new coordinator of programs and administration.  Stephanie brings a solid basketball history, experience with sports administration and a tremendous level of energy to the WMBA.  On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association I would like to congratulate and  welcome Stephanie to the league."
