Brandon, Manitoba native Mike Raimbault of the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves has been named CCAA Men's Basketball Coach of the Year. The personal award capped the UNBC national title win over SAIT on Saturday night.  Raimbault received the coaching honor on March 17 in Calgary, the day before the start of the CCAA Nationals. He guided the Timberwolves to a 17-1 regular season record and a 2-0 mark in the playoffs as UNBC won the BC Championship in Nanaimo.  Mike served as the interim head coach for the Brandon University Bobcats in 2007-08. He was also head coach of the Basketball Manitoba Regional Training Centre - Westman that same year.

Meanwhile, guard Christine Kennedy of the UNBC Lady T-Wolves has been chosen All-Canadian.
She was one of
10
players recognized at the banquet in Kelowna, site
of the CCAA Women's basketball Championship.
