of Grand Forks, North Dakota. Mayville State will feature five highly regarded coaches and speakers
at the first annual Comet Coaching Clinic. These coaches will be
sharing their knowledge of the game of basketball. Each coach will
speak twice for about 45 minutes each session. Topics will range from
offense, defense, skill development, offensive plays, and special
situations. There will be basketball players on the floor who will
demonstrate some of the drills that the coaches will be explaining.
Those who attend the clinic will gain valuable information that will
benefit them and their teams next season.
The
five speakers are:

- Saul Phillips - North Dakota State - Men
- Ben Jacobson - University of Northern Iowa - Men
- Pam Borton - University of Minnesota - Women
- Carolyn DeHoff - North Dakota State - Women
Each speaker will speak twice during the day for about forty five minutes per session. We will also have players available for the speakers to use to demonstrate things on the floor. It promises to be an excellent coaches clinic. We will also have DVD's available of the clinic for sale, that will be sent out a few weeks after the completion of the clinic.
The cost for the clinic will be $75.00. That cost will include a clinic notebook & pen, clinic t-shirt, and two meals (lunch and dinner). We also have another package, which costs $60.00, that package does NOT include any meals. We also have dorm rooms available for a night if you want to stay overnight after the clinic, or arrive early the night before. The cost for a room is $7.00. You just need to supply your own linens.
The clinic will begin at 9:30 am Friday morning (with check in from 8:00-9:30). The clinic will end at about 7:00 pm Friday night.
