Rural Club Basketball Incentive Program

Basketball Manitoba is excited to announce a new incentive program for people looking to form a basketball club in Manitoba!  The Rural Club Incentive Program is targeted to newly developed rurally based basketball teams in Manitoba that offer a basketball playing opportunities to players under the age of 18 outside of the school basketball season.  Clubs of two or more teams at different ages / genders which fit this description are entitled to the following perks under the program...

1. Free one-year Team Membership into Basketball Manitoba to as many as 5 teams per club.  A ‘Club’ is defined as a collection of two (2) or more teams at different ages or genders playing under one program.  A ‘team’ is defined as a group of players of the same gender and of similar age ranging from 8-15 players.  - $148.40 value per team.  Examples of ‘Clubs’… (Age 12-13 Boys Team & Age 14-15 Boys Team); or (Age 12-13 Girls Team, Age 14-15 Girls Team & Age 15-16 Boys Team); or (Age 11-12 Girls Team & Age 16-17 Girls Team); or any combination of 2 or more teams in the same program at different ages or genders who are under the age of 18.


2. Head Coaches from as many as 5 teams per club will be invited to attend an existing NCCP Level 2 coaches clinic in Winnipeg or Brandon and receive their Level 2 Technical status at no cost - $105.00 value per team.


3. Assistant Coaches from as many as 5 teams per club will be invited to attend an existing NCCP Level 1 coaches clinic in Winnipeg or Brandon and receive their Level 1 Technical status at no cost - $75.00 value per team.


4. All teams in the Club will receive one 25 pack of FIBA-ready Scoresheets - $6.25 value per team.


5. All teams in the Club will receive one current FIBA Rulebook - $12.00 value per team


6. All teams in the Club will receive one new Wilson Evolution Basketball - $50.00 value per team.
   
   


7. All teams in the Club will receive access to the Basketball Manitoba website to create and manage their own Team Website.


8. Entry in the Basketball Manitoba Spring Provincial Championships under the ‘member rate’.


9. All coaches in the program will gain full access to the Basketball Manitoba Resource Library which contains over 350 basketball related materials.


10. Access to the Basketball Manitoba document – 'Club Basketball Organizational Guide' and other support resources including templates for managing all aspects of a club program.

Additional Information / Notes

1. A ‘Rural’ team is defined as being in Manitoba and outside Winnipeg’s Perimeter Highway and currently not participating in an existing program (WMBA Community Club or Rising Stars Leagues). 


2. A ‘New’ team is defined as a group of players and coaches who have not held team memberships with Basketball Manitoba as such in the past calendar year.


3. There is no cash value to any of the offers which are not taken advantage of over the year of the memberships including coaches clinics not taken advantage of.


4. This offer is only good to a program for the first year (1) as a member of Basketball Manitoba.
