National Team Men's Open Tryouts Set for June 13 in TO

(Toronto, Ontario) Canada Basketball has announced the open tryout date for their men’s national team programs for the upcoming summer. The tryouts will be held on June 13 at HoopDome in Toronto, Ontario from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This year, the tryouts for the Senior Men’s National Team (SMNT) and Development Men’s National Team (DMNT) will be held jointly, while the Junior (U19) Men’s National Team (JMNT) will be held separately, at the same time, at the same location.

The MNTP open tryout sessions may be attended by any Canadian citizen
interested in being considered for any of Canada Basketball’s 2007
Men’s National Team Programs including Senior, Development, and Junior.
Eligible athletes interested in participating must pre-register online.
To be eligible for the JMNT you must be born on January 1, 1988 or
later. To be eligible for the DMNT you must meet the requirements for
the FISU Games, which are also available on the BeOne site.

Anyone interesting in attending must bring the following:

• Copy of Canadian Passport (valid until at least January 2008)


• Copy of Birth Certificate


• Provincial Health Care Card and information


• Appropriate clean footwear and practice gear


• 
  Water bottle

We will be holding the open tryout for Senior and Development on one court and the open tryout for Junior on a separate court.
