THE NEXT MANITOBA GAMES WILL OCCUR IN THE SUMMER OF 2024 IN DAUPHIN, MANITOBA.  

The Manitoba Games are the province's largest ongoing multi-sport program, bringing together participants from across the province. The Summer Games are held every four years and alternate between summer and winter sports events. Each set of Games involves upwards of 10,000 athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers.




Participation in the Manitoba Games begins with regional qualifying events. Regional teams of approximately 200 athletes, coaches, managers, and mission staff will go on to participate in the Provincial Finals.

Manitoba Games FAQ's

Q: When are the games?
A: The basketball portion of the games takes place in Dauphin, Manitoba on August 11-17, 2024
Q: How old do you have to be to play?
A: Winnipeg-based teams are age 16U, and the rural Manitoba teams can carry up to 3 at the .al17U age level (Born 2007 and 2008 or later).  See the Techincal Package below for age details. 
Q: When are tryouts?
A: April 2024
Q: Where are tryouts?
A: Tryouts will take place in their respective regions. The specific dates, times and locations will be announced on the Basketball Manitoba website once all details are in place.
Q: Is there a cost to try out?
A: $25 per player
Q: Does each region have a team?
A: Yes. The regions are... South - 2 teams (old Central and south Eastman regions), East (old Interlake and North Eastman regions), West - 2 teams (old Parkland and Westman regions), North and Winnipeg - 2 teams
Q: Do I have to try out for the team in the region in which I live?
A: Yes, you must try out for the team in the region where you live.
