The Brothers Resisting All Violence Everyday (BRAVE) program at the Broadway Community Centre is seeking the involvement of young men in the 15-25 year old range to get involved in its programs which operates Monday and Wednesday evenings in Winnipeg.  The program offers workshops on sports, including basketball, graphic design, DJing, music, arts, storytelling and public speaking.  Full information can be found at...


  • BRAVE is a program for young men ages 15-25 that athletes can join gain new skills, build social networks and get involved in a worthwhile cause. 
  • BRAVE participants will be learn new skills on Mondays with workshops on sports, graphic design, DJing, music, arts, storytelling and public speaking
  • BRAVE participants will work together with facilitators to design a multimedia campaign addressing violence against women and promoting positive masculinity
  • There are weekly Wednesday outings in the community, to attend sports games, concerts and other community events
  • BRAVE participants become well-rounded leaders and mentors in their communities and gain valuable experience for future jobs

  • The program is completely free and rides/bus tickets are provided
  • The program is also eligible for volunteer credit hours at Manitoba high schools
  • Program runs on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9 pm at 185 Young St. Supper is provided both nights
