UPDATE: Holiday Hoops for Hope Men's Fundraising Tournament Set for Jan 3-5 at U of M

UPDATE FROM THE ORGANIZERS: We regret to inform you that the Holiday Hoops for Hope Social has been cancelled. Unfortunately, a car accident has taken out a power pole and the entire block is without power. Hydro has been working on restoring power for the last few hours but has been unsuccessful. As a result, the hall has had to close its doors for the evening.

As this was our main fundraising source, we hope you can still support our chosen charity RaY at Holiday Hoops 3-point Shoot Out, at the tournament. Friends and family can support by purchasing a support ticket at http://www.wahooball.ca/holiday-hoops-for-hope/  For those who would like a refund, please contact Sean Close. Otherwise, all ticket sales will be donated directly to RaY.

    ---

The Wahoo basketball club has announced details on the inaugural 'Holiday Hoops for Hope' basketball fundraising tournament.  The tournament is open to all Men's league teams and will feature a double elimination knockout, tournament trophy, 50/50 half court shot, and more. All games will be played at the University of Manitoba Frank Kennedy Centre from January 3-5, 2014, with a social to follow on Saturday January 4th.

Money raised from the social will go to Resource Assistance for Youth, Inc. (RaY). RaY is a non-profit street-level agency that works with street-entrenched and homeless youth up to the age of 29. It is our hope to use our passion for sport to help those in need. Join us for a great night, prizes and music!

For more information and registration please contact Sean at tournament@wahooball.ca
