Sikh Hoops Winnipeg has announced details for its 2026 tournament, set for Friday, May 15 to Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the University of Manitoba’s Investors Group Athletic Centre.
The event will feature competitive basketball across multiple divisions, with the tournament held on three FIBA courts inside the Investors Group Athletic Centre at 75 Sydney Smith Street in Winnipeg. The facility also includes men’s and women’s locker rooms and showers, a food canteen and ample parking.
The 2026 Sikh Hoops Winnipeg tournament will include a number of upgrades and added features for participating teams and spectators. Prize money will be offered across divisions, with possible increases noted by the event organizers. Current prize amounts include $10,000 for the Elite Division, $5,000 for the Rec Division and $2,500 for the High School Division.
All teams participating in the 2026 event will receive free reversible jerseys.
The tournament will also feature a Sunday dinner as part of the event wrap-up. The dinner is described by organizers as the first of its kind and the only wrap-up event in Sikh Hoops and Indo tournament basketball across the continent.
Sikh Hoops Winnipeg will also provide live coverage of the event, with three-day livestreaming planned for all three courts. Games will be available through the Sikh Hoops Winnipeg YouTube channel at YouTube.com/SikhHoopsWPG1, with recording beginning at the start of each day and continuing through the final game.
