Basketball Manitoba has announced a new province-wide initiative, Basketball For All, designed to strengthen community engagement and increase physical activity by providing free basketballs to high-need communities across Manitoba. The program will support schools, agencies, and community groups that work directly with youth who may not otherwise have access to sports equipment.
With support from the Manitoba Government and the From The Ground Up funding program, and in partnership with Wilson Sports, Basketball Manitoba has secured more than 1,000 basketballs for immediate distribution. These basketballs will be directed to communities where access to affordable recreation is limited, helping foster inclusion, belonging, and positive activity for children and youth.
