The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association (WMBA( has announced details for its Jr. NBA Skills Development Program, offering young players ages 5–12 the chance to learn basketball in a fun and supportive environment this fall.

The program is structured into two age groups:

  • Parent-led (ages 5–6): A unique opportunity for parents to join their children on the court, helping them learn basketball basics together in a positive and encouraging setting.
  • Instructor-led (ages 7–12): Skill-focused sessions led by qualified coaches that emphasize player development, teamwork, and confidence building.

Each program will include 8–10 one-hour sessions in a co-ed setting. Program fees are set at $160 for ages 5–6 and $200 for ages 7–12.

Sessions begin mid-to-late October, with limited spaces available.

Parents are encouraged to register early to secure a spot in the program.

Registration is available now at WMBA.ca.
