Canada Basketball has announced that Manitoba's own Izzi Fust has been named to the training camp roster for the Canadian U23 Women’s National Team ahead of GLOBL JAM 2025, the international under-23 basketball showcase set for August 13–17, 2025 at Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) Mattamy Athletic Centre.
The U23 Women’s National Team opened training camp on Wednesday, August 6 at the OVO Athletic Centre in Toronto, with the men’s team beginning camp on Friday, August 8.
Canada’s U23 squads will take on elite opposition from around the world, including the Texas Longhorns (USA), Brazil, and Puerto Rico on the women’s side, and Georgetown Hoyas (USA) and Japan on the men’s side. All games will be broadcast live across Sportsnet platforms.
Izzi Fust is a 6’1” forward from Winnipeg, Manitoba, currently entering her second year of post-secondary competition. A product of Dakota Collegiate and the Manitoba Provincial Team program, Fust has developed through the province’s high-performance pathway and continues to represent Manitoba on the national stage.
Fust’s selection is another milestone in her growing basketball career, representing Manitoba on the national stage against top international competition.
