Buckets & Borders has announced the official grand opening of The Northwood Project, taking place on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Northwood Community Centre, 1415 Burrows Avenue, Winnipeg. The event will celebrate the unveiling of a brand new basketball court, located adjacent to Sisler High School.
The day will feature a full schedule of free community activities, including:
- 11:00 am – Free youth programming and opening remarks
- 12:00 pm – Food trucks open
- 12:30 pm – Three-point competition, games, and giveaways
- 2:00 pm – Community All-Star Game
- 3:00 pm – Event wrap-up and open pick-up games
Additional attractions include a youth camp, DJ, prizes, Buckets & Borders merchandise tent, and open basketball play for all ages.
