The University of Manitoba Women’s Basketball Team has announced the commitment of Darya Rom of the Dakota Lancers for the 2024-25 Canada West season

“I am very happy to announce my commitment to the UofM where I will be furthering my education and basketball career as a bison! Thank you for this amazing opportunity to play at the next level.

I am beyond grateful to my family, for the support they have given me to be able to get here and the support that I will have moving forward into this new chapter. To my coaches and @basketballmb for the endless support and opportunities that allowed me to learn and grow, and push me to become a better player everyday on and off the court. And to my friends, for going through it with me and filling days spent together with laughter and fun. I couldn’t have done it without all of you, it really does take a village.”  Darya Rom
