Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce the return of NXT GEN Hoops, a program designed to develop young talent in a fun and competitive atmosphere.  NXT GEN Hoops is a development program for athletes aged 10-11 born in 2012 and 2013 that will train and play once a week on Sundays for 12 two-hour sessions from September to December in the Fall Program.  One boy's group and one girl's group, each with 25 athletes, will meet once weekly to work on basketball movement patterns/athletic development, skill development, and play small-sided games (1x1, 2x2, 3x3, 4v4).  NXT GEN Hoops is Basketball Manitoba's early performance program for our next generation of high-performance athletes.

This program will complement players in the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association who play the community club games on Saturdays to get added training and development opportunities this fall.

The NXT GEN Hoops curriculum has been developed by Basketball Manitoba High-Performance Coaches Dan Becker and Randy Kusano.  The lead coaches for each program are Leslie Duhamel and Jon Giesbrecht.  Additional support coaches will be announced shortly.
