WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Sea Bears will play in their first-ever playoff game in a revenge matchup with the visiting Edmonton Stingers Friday, August 4 at 8 p.m. Winnipeg became the second team to secure a playoff spot back on July 15.

With a second-place finish in the Western Conference, the Sea Bears earned the right to host the conference's play-in game against the third-seeded Stingers. The winner of Friday night's matchup will travel to Calgary for the conference semifinals against the Surge on August 6, with the winner of that contest advancing to Championship Weekend in Vancouver. As the host team, the Vancouver Bandits receive an automatic bye to the conference final on August 11.

To make the occasion even more exciting, Canadian hip-hop great Kardinal Offishall will ignite Canada Life Centre with a performance before the game from 7:30 to 8 p.m., then again at halftime!

We showed the country who we are this season, Winnipeg. But it's not over yet. Let's turn the town teal for our first-ever playoffs!
