March madness has made its way to Winnipeg as the 2023 Dairy Farmers of Manitoba AAAA Provincial Basketball Final Four have been set.
Four girls and four boys high school basketball teams will be vying for the right to call themselves Provincial Basketball Champions over the next week.
Participating teams on the girls side include the Dakota Lancers, Garden City Gophers, Sisler Spartans, and Vincent Massey Trojans.
On the boys side, the Garden City Gophers, St. Paul’s Crusaders, Sturgeon Heights Huskies, and the Vincent Massey Trojans.
Action for all games will take place at the Investors Group Athletic Centre at the University of Manitoba.
Semi-final action begins this Thursday, March 16 with the boys semi-finals taking place at 6:00 and 8:00pm. The girls semi-final action takes place on Friday at 6:00 and 8:00pm. The Championship finals gets underway on Monday, March 20 with the girls game at 6pm and the boys beginning at 8pm.
The Dakota Lancers are the defending AAAA Girls Provincial Champions and the St. Paul’s Crusaders were the 2021 AAAA Boys Provincial Basketball Champions.
