32 Team Brandon Sun Spartan Invitational (BSSI) 2022 Set to Return This Weekend

One of Manitoba's largest basketball tournaments is tipping off in Brandon this weekend.  The 2022 Brandon Sun Spartan Invitational (BSSI) Tournament features 32 teams at the varsity boys' level running December 15-17 out of 5 area gymnasiums in Brandon.  

Since its 2004 inception, BSSI has become a “Westman Holiday “ Tradition.  Thirty-two basketball teams from Manitoba and Saskatchewan participate in 80 games in 2 ½ days on 5 different courts. Courts at Neelin High School, Vincent Massey High Schools, Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School as well as 2 courts at the Brandon University – Healthy Living Center will host these games.

• Crocus Plains Reg. Secondary – 1930 1st Street
• Brandon University – Healthy Living Centre (HLC)

BSSI has traditionally seen some of the top talent in many categories across Manitoba and Saskatchewan at this event in the past and this year will be no exception. BSSI brings not only high school players together but coaches and officials as well making this a great kick off to the 2022-23 Basketball season.  Neelin High School and Westman are excited to host this event once again.
