Today on the Basketball Manitoba Podcast we have Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson.  

Jarred graduated from Garden City Collegiate, where he led the team to back-to-back AAAA Manitoba Provincial Championship titles.  He was voted the number one player in the province in grades 11 and 12. 

He is a former Basketball Manitoba Provincial Team member playing for four summers with the program. 

He went on to play at the University of Calgary, where he played for the Dinos for five years.  He was a Second-Team All-Canadian, and a Canada West All-Star two times. 

He finished his career top 10 in Calgary Dino’s history in rebounds, field goals, free throws made, three-pointers made, assists, games played, games started, minutes played, free throw percentage, and assist to turnover ratio, and is 3rd in all-time in points and 1st in steals.

After college, he went to play pro, has played in Denmark, Finland, Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands, and is currently playing in France.  He has been recognized as Guard of the Year in Portugal and Guard of the Year, and Import Player of the Year in the Netherlands.

This past season in Denmark, his team won the League Championships, and he was recognized as a FIBA Europe Cup International Tournament All-Star.
