Winnipeg’s Emily Potter has announced her signing of a new professional basketball contract that will take her to Greece for the 2021-22 season.  Entering her 4th year as a pro, Emily is joining the Esperides Basketball Club based in Kallithea which is located just outside of Athens.  The club plays in the Greek Women’s Basketball League.   


 Below is the translated announcement from the club…

“The women's team made a great transfer and strengthened in the "paint". The reason for the acquisition of the 25-year-old international Canadian center is Emily Potter !! The 1.96m athlete is 25 years old, a graduate of Utah in 2018 and played the last two years in the Czech Republic and in KP Brno with which she also competed in the Fiba Eurocup. There she had a great presence in 3 games 34.3 min, 15.7 pts., 52.5% FG, 9.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2 blocks. In the Czech championship she also played in 26 matches, 25.3 min, 12.7 pts, 54% FG, 7.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists 1.2 blocks.   

She is the first athlete in the history of the University of Utah to surpass 1500p, 1000 rebounds, 200 blocks with many distinctions in the top NCAA region of the USA PAC-12 (Stanford, Arizona, UCLA, Oregon, US California etc.). 


The remarkable Canadian international distinguished: In the world of the FIBA U17 2019 (bronze) at World U19 FIBA to the 2013  - 7 The    and also competed at the Pan American Peru 2019 6th.”
