Sport Manitoba Coaching has announced several National Coaching Certificating Program (NCCP) coach education courses they plan to offer in the coming months. This page will be updated in the future with any new clinics and updates.
They have added another professional development opportunity for coaches – the Manitoba Aboriginal Sport & Recreation Council will be hosting the Aboriginal Coaching Module on Sunday, September 24th, 2023 for National Coaches Week. This module is a great opportunity and tool for coaches who work with both indigenous and non-indigenous athletes, and its FREE!
The Manitoba Athletic Therapists Association will also be hosting a Taping 1 Workshop for us on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023! This workshop provides coaches with the fundamentals of taping and gives coaches the opportunity to practice taping basics in-class. This course is also FREE!
Lastly, ALL NCCP multi-sport courses are being offered for FREE to Manitoba coaches! How this promotion works is as follows:
- Coaches will register for the NCCP course they wish to attend through the Locker.
- Coaches will pay the registration fee (if there is one).
- Coaches will attend the course and the course instructor will verify their attendance.
- Coaches will be refunded the course fee through the Locker after they have completed the course.
There are limited spots available for each course – so spread the word to any interested coaches! Please feel free to share this info with your organization and with your clubs and members.
Email Shaye Samec at Sport Manitoba at shaye.samec@sportmanitoba.ca with any questions on any of these opportunities!
