Basketball Manitoba is very pleased to announce its Manitoba Summer Games powered by Manitoba Hydro coaching line up at the 16U age level for the summer of 2020.  This summer, the sport of basketball will be part of the Manitoba Summer Games in Dauphin, Manitoba and the program will feature a total of 16 teams at the male & female 16U age level (born in 2004 or later).  The coaching staff are listed below along with their respective region.


The 2020 Manitoba Games will see for the first time the newly merged regions used as a base for eligibility.  The old Westman and Parkland regions have been merged into the new "West" region and the old Central and the south part of the old Eastman region has been merged into the new "South" region.  The old north part of the Eastman region has been merged with the old Interlake region to form the new "East" region.  The newly formed South and West regions, along with Winnipeg, will each host 2 male and 2 female teams each and the new East and North regions will host 1 male and 1 female teach each, for a total of 16 basketball teams created.  See the below map for a visual of the new boundaries.

Tryouts for all the teams will take place in April for all regions with exception to the Winnipeg region which will host their tryouts in early June following the Manitoba Provincial team tryouts.  Details on the tryouts will be announced in early March.   The rural regions will be permitted to carry up to 3 age 17U players (born in 2003) on their roster...

The non-Winnipeg teams will compete in the Manitoba Club Basketball Championships on May 7-10, 2020 and the programs will culminate at the 2020 Manitoba Summer Games in Dauphin, Manitoba with the male competition running August 9-11 and the female August 12-14, 2020.
