A new video PSA featuring Canadian athletes raises parent awareness of the importance of the multi-sport approach to youth sport and activity. Sport research suggests that playing a variety of sports and physical activities in childhood leads to better skill development, less injury, less burnout, and less dropout.

Four of Canada’s national sport associations (Baseball Canada, Canada Basketball, Canada Soccer, and Hockey Canada) teamed up with the Active for Life initiative to create the PSA that includes athletes Marie-Philip Poulin (hockey), Mike Soroka (baseball), Miah-Marie Langlois (basketball), and Nik Ledgerwood (soccer).
