TORONTO, July 9, 2014 - Slan Sports Management has announced that Winnipeg's Chad Posthumus has been named to the Chicago Bulls Las Vegas Summer League team.  Posthumus, a 6’11” center, played the past two seasons at Morehead State University. In his senior year, he averaged 11.0 rebounds in just 25.7 minutes per game, good for 4th best in the NCAA. He led the country in rebounds per 40 minutes at 17.1 as well as rebounding percentage at 25.2%.  Posthumus also averaged 9.6 points per game and was named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Third Team, leading his team to the OVC Tournament Semi Finals.  He was invited to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament this April and was recently invited to pre-draft workouts with the Toronto Raptors as well as the Chicago Bulls.


A Winnipeg, Manitoba native, Posthumus played high school basketball at River East Collegiate. He then started his university career at the University of British Columbia, where he played two seasons before transferring to Morehead State.

BULLS ANNOUNCE 2014 NBA SUMMER LEAGUE ROSTER

Tony Snell, Doug McDermott and Cameron Bairstow headline summer squad
July 8, 2014 -- The Chicago Bulls announced today their roster for the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League. Bulls guard Tony Snell, along with Chicago’s 2014 draft picks Doug McDermott (No. 11 overall) and Cameron Bairstow (No. 49 overall) highlight this summer’s 12-man roster.
Chicago will tip off its summer league docket with preliminary games on July 12 versus the L.A. Clippers, July 13 versus Denver and July 15 versus Minnesota. Upon the conclusion of the preliminary schedule, the Bulls will then be seeded in a tournament-style circuit that will determine the NBA Summer League 2014 champion in the Championship Game on July 21. Every team is guaranteed to play at least five games.
The 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League features 24 teams competing in a 67-game schedule from July 11-21 at the COX Pavilion and Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. NBA TV’s coverage of the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League will begin in COX Pavilion on July 11 with a four-game slate. The network will televise all 67 games, including a total of 38 games live during the event, including the Championship Game on July 21. In addition, fans will again be able to watch, via a subscription-based package, every Samsung NBA Summer League game live at http://nba.com/summerleague and on the NBA Summer League app.
