InnerCityClassicTeamFor the entire month of August, Yoga Public will donate all proceeds from their Karma Yoga classes to the Inner City Jr. Wesmen Girl’s Basketball program.

On Friday, August 9th at 3:00 pm, former Bomber-turned-restaurant owner Obby Khan will join Bob Axworthy and other special guests in a special yoga class at Yoga Public
(280 Fort Street) to partake in raising funds for this deserving young team.

Coach Bob and Khan have also agreed to start a youth employment opportunity, by hiring some members of the basketball team at his popular restaurant Shawarma Khan.

“I like giving back to a city that’s been so great to me, and this is a perfect opportunity to give some inner city girls a better chance at success", stated Khan.

The team’s coach Bob Axworthy could not be happier with both gestures from Khan, saying that”"Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference in someone’s life, and at the end of the day that’s what it’s really all about. I’m happy for the girls, I’m happy for Obby, but I’m a little intimidated about this yoga I have agreed to do".

Bob Axworthy is an active local figure, and has helped develop several other inner city programs which can be seen at www.innercityaction.com
