University of Winnipeg Wesmen Men’s Basketball head coach Mike Ramibault has announced that that Kuet Kuet (pronounced kwet-kwet) from John Taylor Collegiate has committed to joining the University of Winnipeg’s Men’s Basketball program for the start of the 2013-2014 Canada West season.  Kuet a 6’2” guard averaged 19 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals per game for the Pipers this past season. He was named a First Team All-Star at the Piper Tournament and was selected to the Second All-Star Team at the Western Tournament. He was ranked as the #9 High School Boy’s Basketball Player in the Annual Winnipeg Sun Coaches Poll. Kuet was named to the 2011-2012 Provincial AAAA High School Boy’s Championship All-Star team after helping the Pipers earn a spot in the Championship game against Garden City.

"The addition of Kuet Kuet is a solid one for us. He brings a good level of athleticism, defensive tenacity, and a high level of character with him as a player.  He is also a top student who has worked hard to get this opportunity.  We are excited about having him join our program and working with him in the years to come”, said Wesmen Men’s Basketball head coach Mike Raimbault.

Kuet will study Science at the University of Winnipeg in September with future aspirations to study in the field of Medicine. An interesting fact, Kuet's mother is currently a student at the University of Winnipeg.

Earlier in the week two-time Provincial Champion Tynan Reyes (Garden City) committed to the Men’s Basketball Program.
