bison-small.pngThe Manitoba Bisons women’s basketball program has announced that it has added two new recruits for the upcoming 2012-13 season. Forward Krystal Drain and guard/forward Madison Kinzel will join the Bisons after impressive high school careers.  Drain, 18, finished her high school career at Portage Collegiate Institute. The 5’11” forward was a three-time athlete of year (2008-09, 2009-10, 2011-12), rookie of the year (2009-10) and MVP of the varsity basketball program in 2010-11 and 2011-12 season. In addition, the Portage la Prairie native was a captain of Portage Collegiate Institute basketball and volleyball team in 2011-12.  Kinzel, 18, completed her high school career at Linden Christian School. The 5’9” guard/forward was named as 2011-12 First Team for A/AA/AAA Female All-Manitoba Teams plus was an All-Star Player at the AAA Provincial championships 2012 and school basketball MVP in 2011-2012. In addition, the Regina native has also played with the Junior Bison club team in 2009 and the Manitoba Provincial Team in 2009. She was also on the honour roll ion 2011-12.  Bison women’s basketball interim co-coach Michele Hynes commented...
