Sarah has been involved with the Provincial Team Program since 2008, serving as an assistant coach in the 17U programs to Tanya McKay, Tami Pennell, and Cheryl Jean-Paul. Sarah is also coach in the Basketball Canada/Basketball Manitoba Centre for Performance, a position she has held for 3 years.






Sarah is currently the head coach of the Westwood Collegiate Varsity Girls Program.  Previously, she was the head coach of the Oak Park Junior Varsity Girls Program where she led them to the 2008 AAAA Provincial Championship game and was named Coach of the Year.  Sarah also coaches the Magnus Eliason Recreation Center Club Team, a position she has volunteered in for the past 4 years. She is also a certified NCCP Level 3 coach.






Prior to coaching, she played 5 years of basketball at the University of Manitoba and was selected to a number of different All-Star teams including being chosen to play for a team out west that travelled to Europe. 


 


Coaching Manitoba's "Coach of the Month" program recognizes outstanding Manitoba coaches in action. Nominations are accepted for coaches at all levels of sport (grassroots through high performance) who make extraordinary contributions to sport and athlete development.
