Brandon University Athletics is getting ready for another great year of Bobcat Summer Camps. Four weeks of basketball and volleyball camps are scheduled, with a new location and some slight modifications to this year’s program. Due to the construction of Brandon University’s Healthy Living Centre and renovations to the BU Gymnasium, all Bobcat Summer Camps will be held at Vincent Massey High School in Brandon (715 McDiarmid Drive). Also new to this year’s camps is the Steve Nash Youth Basketball program, an initiative designed by the Canadian NBA star and Basketball Canada. The goal of the program is to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship and a love of the game of basketball in youth through the week long camp. The schedule of this summer’s basketball camps is as follows:
- Girls Basketball Camp – August 13-17
- Boys Basketball Camp – August 27 – September 1
