At a sold out dinner on Saturday night at the Victoria Inn Hotel in Winnipeg, the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame officially welcomed in the Class of '11 with the addition of 5 individuals and 2 teams into the Hall. Those now making up the new additions in the player's category include Brandon Bobcats Whitney Dabney and Keith Vassell and Manitoba Bisons T.L. Johannesson and Marjorie Kelly. In the builder category, WMBA Founder Mike Ruta was welcomed in. This year's two teams both came from the University of Manitoba with its 1995-96 and 1996-97 National Championship Women's teams joining the 1955-57 Western Canadian National Champion Men's program. All the recognised inductees were present for the celebration in front over 250 in attendance.
