Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce that Ian Dickey of Steinbach, MB has been hired as its new Program Coordinator effective this August.  The hiring comes after Ian's successful summer internship placement with Basketball Manitoba through the Recreation Studies program at the University of Manitoba.  Following his placement which runs through to early August, Ian will graduate with a degree in Recreation Management and Community Development.  



Ian replaces Heather Hildebrandt who is leaving the organization after 4 years to return to school to pursue a degree in Education at the same time suiting up for the Wesmen this fall.  Heather's last day with Basketball Manitoba will be August 25.  We wish Heather nothing but the best with her academic and athletic pursuits!  Read Heather's announcement...  



Over the last three seasons, Ian was a member of the Manitoba Bisons Basketball Team under coach Kirby Schepp.  Prior to that, he played on the Grand Prairie Regional College basketball team in northern Alberta.  In his new position with Basketball Manitoba, Ian will manage all its youth development programs including Steve Nash Youth Basketball, Todd Mac Hoops School, its NCCP coach and JODP and rural referee clinics, Junior High and Club Championships, the WSWBL, MBCA along with other duties and services offered.  To contact Ian directly...
